Saint Joseph School's web site! Saint Joseph School consists of families
from Saint Joseph's parish as well as the surrounding communities. The goal
of our faculty and staff is to promote academic excellence in a nurturing
and caring environment. Our teachers inspire their students to be respectful,
confident, and creative learners. In addition, every child's educational
experience is enriched by the integration of religious teachings and social
responsibility into their daily learning activities. Saint Joseph School
is committed to the educational success of every student. We encourage the

Philosophy
Saint Joseph School is committed to excellence in education by providing a comprehensive learning atmosphere for children from preschool through grade eight. "Comprehensive" at Saint Joseph's means a total package of academic, moral, and spiritual guidance. The academic environment at Saint Joseph School instills a respect for education and humanity that helps give children a feeling of accomplishment and self-reliance.
Our History
Saint Joseph School was established in 1863. With the assistance from the "Daughters of the Heart of Mary," a school of 125 girls was opened. Four years later, the school was opened at its present location for children under nine years old. In 1883 a twelve room schoolhouse was built, followed in 1929 by the present 24 classroom building.
