St. Joseph
St. Joseph, patron saint of travelers and pilgrims,
bless my journeys. You were an alien in a strange land,
help me treat all aliens with respect.
Joseph the Worker, patron of artisans, craftsmen and laborers,
help me find holiness in the labor of my hands.
Holy Joseph, patron of those inspired by dreams,
help me be guided by mine.
Holy Husband of Mary, patron saint of fathers, husbands
and families, pray for me and my family.
Patron of hospice care and a peaceful death,
pray for me that I may have a happy death.
Novena Prayer for Saint Joseph's Feast Day
O good Saint Joseph, when you embraced the angel's message, "Do not
be afraid," you became the foster father of Jesus our Brother. You
became our foster father, too.
Be a father, a protector, an advocate for all the searching and the sorrowing, the struggling and the straying - for all of us who long for peace and fullness of life in Christ.
Still our hearts in prayer. Help us to live as you lived, entrusting our burdens, our cares, our wounds and those of the whole world to God through your loving intercession.
We ask you especially to intercede for our needs.
