NEASC

From the Carol Poselli, chair of the team:  “I just want to thank you, your staff, students and parents for making our stay in Burlington pleasant and comfortable. Please thank everyone for the beautiful baskets and all the great food you served us at your wonderful school.”

And from one of the team members, Patricia Scanlon: “Thank you for the warm reception you showed to the members of the NEASC team.  I felt very welcome at your school.  You have much to be proud of and I wish you success in the future.”

Knights of Columbus Essays

The Knights sponsored an essay on “What the Pledge of Allegiance and Flag Mean to Me” for 8th grade students.  Three of our students were recognized for their writing at mass on March 14th.  3rd place – Emily Ducharme, 2nd place – Amira Garen, and 1st place – AJ Zoellner  Congratulations to these students for their success.  The awards also included cash prizes. We also thank the Knights for giving our students this opportunity.  A United States flag was also donated to the school.

Facts Grant & Aid applications for scholarship for the 2008-2009 are available in the office. The application is due to FACTS by April 15 with the $20 application fee.  All families interested in applying for scholarship must follow the FACTS application process. 

Calcutta/Silent Auction   Basket donations and ticket purchases are due by April 1st.   This year’s theme baskets are:  K/1 Life’s a Beach, 2/3 Death by Chocolate, 4/5 Spring Cleaning, 6/7 Cooking & Baking, 8 Gardening.  Tickets for the auction and Calcutta are $100 which includes two meals.  Reminders went out last week for tickets for the Calcutta/Silent Auction.  These are numbered tickets and all need to be accounted for.  It is important that all tickets are sold.  Consider splitting the cost of a ticket with other family or friends.  This event needs everyone’s support since it is our most profitable fundraiser!  

Seder  Thank you to Ms. Busse, Madame Cote-Wurzler, and 6/7th students for leading the Seder this morning.  This is a wonderful celebration and we are so happy to continue the tradition.

Golf Tournament Mark your calendars and save the date!  Our golf tournament is scheduled for Thursday, June 26th @ 1:00 PM. 

SCRIP We currently have inventory for the following merchants:  Barnes & Noble, Borders, Cabela’s, Chili’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Exxon/Mobil, Gap, Home Depot, JC Penney, Lands End, LL Bean, Ninety Nine, Payless, TGI Fridays, Toys R Us.  Stop by the office for purchase.

Basketball

Congratulations to our 5th & 6th girls’ teams who played their final game on March 16th.  Congratulations to the 7th & 8th girls team who played their semi final game on March 14th

Congratulations to Coach Prim who received the Ed Wimette Lifetime Achievement Award for his time and dedication to the CYO Basketball program over the years on Sunday, March 16th prior to the final games.

The basketball awards for all teams are scheduled for Monday, March 24th in the school cafeteria at 6:30 PM.
