The New England Association for Schools and Colleges (NEASC) has completed their visit.  The team is now preparing the report for us.  The report must then be approved by the commission and then can be made public in June.  However, we can start to address issues as they become available to us. The team praised our school, students, and staff as being welcoming and respectful.  They enjoyed all the food items that many parents provided.  Thank you to all parents who helped by contributing food and cleaning last Friday.  Because of all of you we do have a very special school!

Open House  An open house is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, 2008.  Spread the word to your family and friends.  You all are our best advertising!  Look for our advertising in the Free Press for the next 7 days!

Jean Day Friday On Friday, March 14th, students can wear jeans to school as a thank you for their support in preparation for the NEASC visit.  Many were involved in cleaning on Friday and were all complimented by the NEASC team on their respectful nature.  We will be attending mass in the morning for the feast of St. Joseph.  St. Joseph’s favorite color was red so wearing anything red would also be most appropriate.

Thank you to Mrs. Cartier for serving a special dessert today.

Geo Bee  Caitlin Hester won our school geo bee contest in December.  In January she took a written test and has just be notified that she is one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2008 Vermont Geographic Bee which is held at Middlebury College on April 4,  2008.  Caitlin was among 98 students in Vermont to qualify.  Congratulations and good luck to Caitlin!
