RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Coordinator of Religious Education: K-8
Mrs. Monica Morano-Aurigemma

Our Parish Religious Education Program seeks to help parents in their role as primary faith educators of their children. In addition, we rely on parental support as teachers, aides and for the many other tasks necessary to keep our program running smoothly.

Classes are available to all children of registered parishioners in grades K through 8. Classes are held on Monday evening from 6:15 PM to 7:30 PM. The Elementary students begin with an introduction, than proceed to their classroom for instruction. We conclude together with a snack and crafts.

The Middle School curriculum is called Faithways. This program is an active hands on approach, which reinforces and enriches their elementary faith foundation.

Each month we come together for a prayer service as part of our instruction. Our program also includes preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and First Eucharist.

In the summer there will be a Vacation Bible School from Monday, June 24 - Friday, June 28. The daily sessions run from 8:00 AM to Noon.

Our Catechists are active parishioners, who enjoy sharing their faith with the children of our Parish and neighborhood.

Mrs.Monica Morano-Aurigemma at 862-0521

YOUTH MINISTRY & CONFIRMATION PROGRAM

Coordinator of Youth Ministry & Confirmation Program
Monica Morano-Aurigemma

The Program

The Youth Ministry & Confirmation program meets on Sunday evening beginning at 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM in the Odyssey Center. The Program runs from September to May.

Our Confirmation preparation program requires all ninth grade students to complete a two year program that includes classes, community service and social opportunities. The community service component requires students to complete fifteen hours of community service in each of the two program years. Opportunities for group community service are built into the schedule. The program year follows the school calendar from September until May, with time off during school breaks and holidays. There is also a required retreat weekend, and participation in the Diocesan Youth Congress.
